" โค้ชโต่ย " คุมทัพช้างศึกลุยคิงส์คัพ



โดย พล.ต.อ. ดร. สมยศ พุ่มพันธุ์ม่วง นายกสมาคม กล่าวว่า "วันนี้ โค้ชโต่ย (ศิริศักดิ์ ยอดญาติไทย) และ โค้ชโชค (โชคทวี พรหมรัตน์) และทีมงานได้มาเข้าพบผม เพื่อรายงานผลการทำงาน และปฏิบัติหน้าที่ สำหรับการแข่งขันไชน่า คัพ ที่ผ่านมา"

"ขณะเดียวกัน ผมได้แจ้งไปยังทีมงานสตาฟฟ์โค้ชทีมชาติไทยชุดใหญ่ว่า จะให้ทำหน้าที่เฮดโค้ช ในการแข่งขันฟุตบอลชิงถ้วยพระราชทานคิงส์ คัพ ครั้งที่ 47 ในวันนี้ ก็เป็นการมอบหน้าที่ให้ทีมสตาฟฟ์ได้คุมทีมอีกครั้งหนึ่ง"

"ตอนนี้ก็ชัดเจนแล้วว่า ในการแข่งขันฟุตบอลชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน คิงส์ คัพ ครั้งนี้ จะมีทั้งหมดสี่ทีม ประกอบไปด้วย ทีมชาติไทย, ทีมชาติอินเดีย, ทีมชาติเวียดนาม และทีมชาติกือราเซา ซึ่งทั้งสามทีม มีอันดับฟีฟ่า แรงกิ้ง สูงกว่าทีมชาติไทยทั้งสิ้น"

"จากผลงานที่ผ่านมาของทีมชาติไทย ตั้งแต่เอเชียน คัพ และไชน่า คัพ ก็นับว่าเป็นที่ยอมรับได้ ใจจริงผมอยากจะสนับสนุนทีมงานคนไทย ให้ทำหน้าที่ตรงนี้ จึงได้มอบหมายให้โค้ชโต่ย และ โค้ชโชค ทำหน้าที่ตรงนี้ ในการแข่งขันฟุตบอลชิงถ้วยพระราชทานคิงส์ คัพ ครั้งนี้"

ส่วนการแข่งขันฟุตบอลโลกรอบคัดเลือกนั้น อาจจะเป็นเรื่องยาก แต่ก็ใช่ว่าจะเป็นไปไม่ได้ที่โค้ชโต่ย จะคุมทัพช้างศึกต่อไป

โดยทีมที่เข้าร่วมประกอบไปด้วย
1. ทีมชาติไทย (อันดับ 114)
2. ทีมชาติเวียดนาม (อันดับ 9
3. ทีมชาติอินเดีย (อันดับ 101)
4. ทีมชาติกือราเซา (อันดับ 82)
